The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) accepts APRN and NP licensure applications via their online portal.

Graduation from a program with advanced clinical training. Independent practice eligibility after 4,000 hours of APRN experience and 250 CE hours post-certification.

80 CE hours every 2 years. 20 hours must be in pharmacotherapeutics, including 10 focused on opioid prescribing for those with prescriptive authority.
